After a 3.5 years dedicated to the study of her beloved xenarthrans and their genomes, Mathilde Barthe successfully defended her PhD entitled "Species delimitation in xenarthran mammals at the genomic scale" co-directed by Frédéric Delsuc and Benoit Nabholz. We would like to thanks all jury members: Violaine Nicolas-Colin (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris), Antoine Fouquet (CNRS, Toulouse), Christelle Fraïsse (CNRS, Lille), Nicolas Galtier (CNRS, Montpellier) and Carole Smadja (CNRS, Montpellier). We also thank the Center for the study of biodiversity in Amazonia (Labex CEBA) for funding half of Mathilde's PhD project. We are fortunate to have Mathilde continuing as a Post-doc within the ConvergeAnt project.
