Sophie and Frédéric took the TGV to Paris to visit collaborators Guillaume Borrel and Simonetta Gribaldo from the Evolutionary Biology of the Microbial Cell group at the Pasteur Institute. The day was dedicated to the presentation of Sophie's long read metagenomic results, the exchange of terabytes of metagenomic data, and the planning of future bioinformatic analyses on the evolution of the Archeal and Bacterial gut microbiomes in mammals.
